Auction result well in line with expectations
The work December Flood by John O'Connor was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in July 2004. The price achieved of GBP 836.50 (€ 1,264.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John O'Connor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ludgate, Evening in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 169,250.00 (€ 210,878.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit December Flood von John O'Connor wurde im Juli 2004 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 836,50 (€ 1.264,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John O'Connor erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ludgate, Evening im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 169.250,00 (€ 210.878,05).
