Auction result well in line with expectations
The work West of a Road by John O'Connor was auctioned at Christies in London in August 2005. The price achieved of GBP 660.00 (€ 964.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John O'Connor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ludgate, Evening in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 169,250.00 (€ 210,878.05).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 660,00 (€ 964,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John O'Connor erzielen.
