The work Red wheat by John O'Connor was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2010. It achieved a price of GBP 812.50 (€ 976.94), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 35%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John O'Connor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ludgate, Evening in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 169,250.00 (€ 210,878.05).

Die Arbeit Red wheat von John O'Connor kam im Juli 2010 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 812,50 (€ 976,94) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 35%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John O'Connor erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ludgate, Evening im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 169.250,00 (€ 210.878,05).
