Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A street in Dinan, Brittany; and Another similar by John Mulcaster Carrick was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,313.32) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by John Mulcaster Carrick have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fishermen off a rocky coastline, Italy; and The Italian Riveria in June 2014 with an auction result of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,247.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A street in Dinan, Brittany; and Another similar von John Mulcaster Carrick kam im November 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.313,32) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Mulcaster Carrick auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fishermen off a rocky coastline, Italy; and The Italian Riveria im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.247,26).
