Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2015 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, Pre Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Breil-sur-Roya in the Alps by John Mulcaster Carrick. The price achieved of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 2,073.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Mulcaster Carrick - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fishermen off a rocky coastline, Italy; and The Italian Riveria, which sold at auction in June 2014 for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,247.26).

Im März 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Breil-sur-Roya in the Alps von John Mulcaster Carrick zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 2.073,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von John Mulcaster Carrick mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fishermen off a rocky coastline, Italy; and The Italian Riveria beobachtet, die im Juni 2014 für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.247,26) versteigert wurde.
