In April 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work The market place, Pontivy, Brittany; and The London Apprentice at Isleworth by John Mulcaster Carrick. The result of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,689.26) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Mulcaster Carrick - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fishermen off a rocky coastline, Italy; and The Italian Riveria, which sold at auction in June 2014 for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,247.26).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im April 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit The market place, Pontivy, Brittany; and The London Apprentice at Isleworth von John Mulcaster Carrick zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.689,26) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von John Mulcaster Carrick mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fishermen off a rocky coastline, Italy; and The Italian Riveria beobachtet, die im Juni 2014 für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.247,26) versteigert wurde.
