Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Post-War British Art, which included the work Trio I by John Milne. The price achieved of GBP 4,032.00 (€ 4,501.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Milne - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vertical Form, which sold at auction in November 2020 for GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,252.68).
