The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,273.73) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by John Milne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vertical Form in November 2020 with an auction result of GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,252.68).

Die Arbeit Sculptural form; Abstract form von John Milne kam im Juli 2012 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.273,73) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Milne auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vertical Form im November 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.080,00 (€ 11.252,68).
