Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bronze Tower by John Milne was sold in the Modern & Post-War British Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,150.00 (€ 3,516.46) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Milne - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vertical Form, which sold at auction in November 2020 for GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,252.68).
