The work Richmond Park by John Martin was auctioned at Christies in Paris in July this year. It achieved a price of GBP 37,800.00 (€ 44,101.14), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Martin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Celestial City And The River Of Bliss in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 2,725,000.00 (€ 3,863,134.75).
