Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Our Friend Mr Noddy Has A Day With The Brookside Harriers; And Mr Jorrocks - "Come Help! I Say You Ugly Brute!" by John Leech was sold in the British and Continental Pictures auction at Christies in London in August 2004. It changed hands for a price of GBP 298.75 (€ 442.15) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Leech achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mr Briggs Taming A Colt Which He Has Bred Himself in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 4,500.00 (€ 5,440.84).
