Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by John Latham was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 1,147.50 (€ 1,347.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Latham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Triptych 1954 in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 79,250.00 (€ 100,688.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von John Latham wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.147,50 (€ 1.347,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Latham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Triptych 1954 im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 79.250,00 (€ 100.688,02).
