A top price for John Latham - as previously expected
The work Triptych 1954 by John Latham was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2008. The price achieved of GBP 79,250.00 (€ 100,688.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Triptych 1954 is the most expensive artwork by John Latham that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Triptych 1954 von John Latham kam im Juli 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 79.250,00 (€ 100.688,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Triptych 1954 das teuerste Kunstwerk von John Latham, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
