Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Situation Perilleuse by John Latham was sold in the The Astute EyeContemporary Art from a Private London Collector Online auction at Bonhams in London in November last year. The price achieved of GBP 9,180.00 (€ 10,637.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Latham have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Triptych 1954 in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 79,250.00 (€ 100,688.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Situation Perilleuse von John Latham wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion The Astute EyeContemporary Art from a Private London Collector Online bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.180,00 (€ 10.637,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Latham auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Triptych 1954 im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 79.250,00 (€ 100.688,02).
