Parker II from the Caxambas Foundation at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John La Farge achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Last Valley--Paradise Rocks in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 2,096,000.00 (€ 2,410,858.06).
