Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2015 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale Session II, which included the work BETH '72 by John Kacere. Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 56,250.00 (€ 51,164.27). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Kacere - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lorena, which sold at auction in May 2012 for GBP 85,250.00 (€ 106,217.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale Session II durch, in der auch die Arbeit BETH '72 von John Kacere zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 56.250,00 (€ 51.164,27) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von John Kacere mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lorena beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für GBP 85.250,00 (€ 106.217,75) versteigert wurde.
