In February 2001 Christies in London held the auction CONTEMPORARY ART, which included the work In Advance of the institution by John Isaacs. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,400.00 (€ 14,727.55), 57% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by John Isaacs; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Untitled (What Makes Certain). sold at auction in June 2021 with the realized price of EUR 20,640.00.

Im Februar 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion CONTEMPORARY ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit In Advance of the institution von John Isaacs zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.400,00 (€ 14.727,55) und damit 57% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von John Isaacs; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Untitled (What Makes Certain). im Juni 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 20.640,00.
