Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction The Hoarder Sale, which included the work What Is It That There Is Something And Nothing by John Isaacs. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,250.18) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Isaacs have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (What Makes Certain). in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 20,640.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Hoarder Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit What Is It That There Is Something And Nothing von John Isaacs zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.250,18) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Isaacs auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (What Makes Certain). im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 20.640,00.
