Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Interior by John Hubbard was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in May 2005. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,680.00 (€ 2,480.21). Admittedly, works by John Hubbard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shah Nameh Landscape overall, in two parts in September 2020 with an auction result of GBP 20,062.50 (€ 22,122.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Interior von John Hubbard wurde im Mai 2005 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.680,00 (€ 2.480,21) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Hubbard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shah Nameh Landscape overall, in two parts im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.062,50 (€ 22.122,17).
