Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Landscape with a Birdnet No. 1 by John Hubbard was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in December 2004. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 358.50 (€ 507.38), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Hubbard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shah Nameh Landscape overall, in two parts in September 2020 with an auction result of GBP 20,062.50 (€ 22,122.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Landscape with a Birdnet No. 1 von John Hubbard wurde im Dezember 2004 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 358,50 (€ 507,38) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Hubbard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shah Nameh Landscape overall, in two parts im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.062,50 (€ 22.122,17).
