Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2003 Christies in London held the auction British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures, which included the work A shepherd with his flock on a wooded track by John Hamilton Glass. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 528.75 (€ 765.96). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Hamilton Glass achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Golden retrievers and a terrier in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,479.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A shepherd with his flock on a wooded track von John Hamilton Glass zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 528,75 (€ 765,96) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Hamilton Glass erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Golden retrievers and a terrier im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.479,36).
