Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Untitled (unframed) by John Golding. The price achieved of GBP 5,100.00 (€ 6,081.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Golding - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work G.(R.F.) I, which sold at auction in November 2019 for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,081.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (unframed) von John Golding zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.100,00 (€ 6.081,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von John Golding mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit G.(R.F.) I beobachtet, die im November 2019 für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 19.081,47) versteigert wurde.
