Sir Denys Lasdun (1914-2001) was an eminent English architect, celebrated for his commitment to Modernist ideals and his contribution to the British urban landscape. Having started his career at Wells Coates’ practice, he would go on to build 32 Newton Road, a house in Paddington which strictly followed Le Corbusier’s domino principle, and would later become Ronald Searle’s residence. Lasdun’s social commitment was demonstrated in commissions for Hallfield Primary School, cluster blocks

The work IIA by John Golding was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2017. It achieved a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,128.40), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. Admittedly, works by John Golding have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work G.(R.F.) I in November 2019 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,081.47).

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Golding auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit G.(R.F.) I im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 19.081,47).
