Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2003 Christies in London held the auction 20TH C BRIT ART INC. WORKS FROM THE STUDIO OF HILDA CARLINE, which included the work Drawing L by John Golding. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 411.25 (€ 600.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Golding achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work G.(R.F.) I in November 2019 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,081.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20TH C BRIT ART INC. WORKS FROM THE STUDIO OF HILDA CARLINE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Drawing L von John Golding zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 411,25 (€ 600,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Golding erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit G.(R.F.) I im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 19.081,47).
