Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Two gentlemen, in profile to right, in coats and cravats by John Field was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2004. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 400.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 454.10 (€ 681.32). Other works by John Field have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 780.00 (€ 1,150.26) in October 2005 for the work Admiral Viscount Horatio Nelson (1758-1805).

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 400,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 454,10 (€ 681,32) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von John Field haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 780,00 (€ 1.150,26) im Oktober 2005 für die Arbeit Admiral Viscount Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) beobachtet.
