A top price for John Field - as previously expected
In October 2005 Christies in London held the auction Trafalgar Bicentenary, which included the work Admiral Viscount Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) by John Field. It changed hands for a price of GBP 780.00 (€ 1,150.26) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Admiral Viscount Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) is the most expensive artwork by John Field that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Oktober 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Trafalgar Bicentenary durch, in der auch die Arbeit Admiral Viscount Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) von John Field zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 780,00 (€ 1.150,26) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Admiral Viscount Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) das teuerste Kunstwerk von John Field, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
