Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction British & Irish Art, which included the work Boyhood by John Faed. The price achieved of GBP 230,500.00 (€ 283,291.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Other works by John Faed have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2003 the work Boyhood, 1849 was auctioned for GBP 237,650.00 (€ 346,961.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boyhood von John Faed zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 230.500,00 (€ 283.291,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von John Faed konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Februar 2003 die Arbeit Boyhood, 1849 für GBP 237.650,00 (€ 346.961,50) versteigert.
