Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2007 Christies in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Australian ArtIncluding Works by New Zealand and South African Artists, which included the work The Rosstown Pub by John Perceval. The price achieved of GBP 34,100.00 (€ 46,336.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Perceval have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian Ship'S Graveyard in November 2007 with an auction result of AUD 468,000.00 (€ 281,921.57).

Im Dezember 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Australian ArtIncluding Works by New Zealand and South African Artists durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Rosstown Pub von John Perceval zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 34.100,00 (€ 46.336,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Perceval auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian Ship'S Graveyard im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 468.000,00 (€ 281.921,57).
