In the Sporting & Wildlife Art Including an Important Private Collection of Works by Archibald Thorburn and Charles Frederick Tunnicliffe auction, the work Leading out the pack sold for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,676.24) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by John Dalby have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Kill in June 2001 with an auction result of USD 47,000.00 (€ 55,463.77).
