Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Over The Fence; Tally Ho! by John Dalby was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2009. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,719.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Dalby have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Kill in June 2001 with an auction result of USD 47,000.00 (€ 55,463.77).
