In December 2015 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art; Maritime Art; Sporting & Wildlife Art, which included the work Full Cry - William Moss'S Favourite Horses by John Dalby. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 22,500.00 (€ 30,553.92), 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by John Dalby; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Kill sold at auction in June 2001 with the realized price of USD 47,000.00 (€ 55,463.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
