Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Full cry by John Dalby was sold in the Sporting & Wildlife Art auction at Christies in London in November 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,504.21) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Dalby achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Kill in June 2001 with an auction result of USD 47,000.00 (€ 55,463.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Full cry von John Dalby wurde im November 2013 in der Auktion Sporting & Wildlife Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.504,21) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Dalby erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Kill im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.000,00 (€ 55.463,77).
