The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,040.00 (€ 2,395.15), 70% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by John Cyril Harrison have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ptarmigan in mid plumage in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,335.36).

Die Arbeit Woodcock rising from cover; A covey of partridges over stubble, a pair von John Cyril Harrison wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion British and European Art, including works from L'École de Paris, The Jewish Artists bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.040,00 (€ 2.395,15) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Cyril Harrison auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ptarmigan in mid plumage im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.335,36).
