The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,805.00 (€ 3,293.33), 56% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Cyril Harrison - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ptarmigan in mid plumage, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,335.36).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.805,00 (€ 3.293,33) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von John Cyril Harrison mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ptarmigan in mid plumage beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.335,36) versteigert wurde.
