Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by John Currin was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 16,380.00 (€ 14,766.07). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Currin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nice 'n Easy in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 12,007,500.00 (€ 11,351,389.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von John Currin kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 16.380,00 (€ 14.766,07) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Currin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nice 'n Easy im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.007.500,00 (€ 11.351.389,68).
