Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by John Christian Schetky could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Watercolours and Original Book Illustrations auction, the work Shipping off Lowestoft changed hands for GBP 240.00 (€ 356.46) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Christian Schetky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lord Belfast's yacht Emily hove-to for her owner to come aboard, off the Belem Tower, at the mouth of the Tagus, Lisbon in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 96,500.00 (€ 138,580.35).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lord Belfast's yacht Emily hove-to for her owner to come aboard, off the Belem Tower, at the mouth of the Tagus, Lisbon im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 96.500,00 (€ 138.580,35).
