Auction result well in line with expectations

However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Charlton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'God save the Queen': Queen Victoria arriving at St Paul's Cathedral on the Occasion of the Diamond Jubilee Thanksgiving Service, 22 June 1897, which sold at auction in July 2013 for GBP 55,875.00 (€ 63,846.93).
