Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two labourers by John Boyd was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2003. The price achieved of GBP 940.00 (€ 1,372.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Boyd achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Café, Fes in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 10,575.00 (€ 16,828.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two labourers von John Boyd kam im Oktober 2003 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 940,00 (€ 1.372,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Boyd erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Café, Fes im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.575,00 (€ 16.828,16).
