Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Studio Worktable by John Boyd was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2001. The price achieved of GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,951.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by John Boyd have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Café, Fes in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 10,575.00 (€ 16,828.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Studio Worktable von John Boyd kam im Juni 2001 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.175,00 (€ 1.951,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Boyd auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Café, Fes im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.575,00 (€ 16.828,16).
