Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2005 Christies in London held the auction The Scottish Sale, which included the work At Ballingluig; And Crail by John Blair. The price achieved of GBP 480.00 (€ 699.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Admittedly, works by John Blair have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work East Sands, North Berwick in October 2000 with an auction result of GBP 1,880.00 (€ 3,213.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Scottish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit At Ballingluig; And Crail von John Blair zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 480,00 (€ 699,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Blair auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit East Sands, North Berwick im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.880,00 (€ 3.213,46).
