Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of GBP 528.75 (€ 836.39), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Blair - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work East Sands, North Berwick, which sold at auction in October 2000 for GBP 1,880.00 (€ 3,213.46).
