Auction result well in line with expectations
The work THESE MEN USE SHELL, FARMERS by John Armstrong was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2015. The price achieved of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,409.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Armstrong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Initial Study For The Poster 'Can Spring Be Far Behind' in April 2014 with an auction result of GBP 74,500.00 (€ 90,683.74).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.409,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Armstrong erzielen.
