In the 19th Century and British Impressionist Art auction, the work Ariel sold for GBP 10,240.00 (€ 10,240.00) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Anster Fitzgerald achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dream After The Masked Ball (The Stuff Dreams Are Made Of) in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 301,250.00 (€ 364,233.89).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Anster Fitzgerald erzielen.
