Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by John Anster Fitzgerald could be acquired at Christies in London in April 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Orientalist Art auction, the work The Arab chief changed hands for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,997.61) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Anster Fitzgerald achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dream After The Masked Ball (The Stuff Dreams Are Made Of) in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 301,250.00 (€ 364,233.89).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von John Anster Fitzgerald konnte im April 2019 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Orientalist Art wechselte die Arbeit The Arab chief für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.997,61) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Anster Fitzgerald erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Dream After The Masked Ball (The Stuff Dreams Are Made Of) im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 301.250,00 (€ 364.233,89).
