Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An Italianate harbour with an elegant couple promenading near a statue of Neptune, and workmen unloading the docks by Johannes Lingelbach was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2011. The price achieved of EUR 12,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Johannes Lingelbach have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Peasants Dancing The Tarantella Outside An Inn In A Hilly Italianate Landscape in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 97,250.00 (€ 116,470.61).

Die Arbeit An Italianate harbour with an elegant couple promenading near a statue of Neptune, and workmen unloading the docks von Johannes Lingelbach kam im November 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 12.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johannes Lingelbach auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Peasants Dancing The Tarantella Outside An Inn In A Hilly Italianate Landscape im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 97.250,00 (€ 116.470,61).
