In May 2013 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art, which included the work Sluisje by Johan Hendrik van Mastenbroek. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 6,875.00 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johan Hendrik van Mastenbroek achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dutch 'Ijsvreugde Op Holland'S Vaarten' (Winter Fun On A Dutch Canal) in April 2008 with an auction result of EUR 117,850.00.

Im Mai 2013 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sluisje von Johan Hendrik van Mastenbroek zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 6.875,00 und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johan Hendrik van Mastenbroek erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dutch 'Ijsvreugde Op Holland'S Vaarten' (Winter Fun On A Dutch Canal) im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 117.850,00.
