Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2006 Christies in Paris held the auction Art d'Après-Guerre et Contemporain et Collection Marie-Christine et Roger Pailhas, which included the work Lavabo Violet, Série 'Lille', 1994 by Joep van Lieshout. The price achieved of EUR 720.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joep van Lieshout achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bureau 'K4121', 1991 in April 2006 with an auction result of EUR 10,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2006 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Art d'Après-Guerre et Contemporain et Collection Marie-Christine et Roger Pailhas durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lavabo Violet, Série 'Lille', 1994 von Joep van Lieshout zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 720,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joep van Lieshout erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bureau 'K4121', 1991 im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.200,00.
