Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Joep van Lieshout could be acquired at Phillips in an online auction in June 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Land, Sea, Sky: Online Auction auction, the work Two works: (i) The Invisible Hand; (ii) Untitled changed hands for GBP 500.00 (€ 550.66) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joep van Lieshout achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bureau 'K4121', 1991 in April 2006 with an auction result of EUR 10,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Joep van Lieshout konnte im Juni 2020 bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Land, Sea, Sky: Online Auction wechselte die Arbeit Two works: (i) The Invisible Hand; (ii) Untitled für GBP 500,00 (€ 550,66) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joep van Lieshout erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bureau 'K4121', 1991 im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.200,00.
