Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Joep van Lieshout. It changed hands for a price of EUR 3,250.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joep van Lieshout - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bureau 'K4121', 1991, which sold at auction in April 2006 for EUR 10,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Joep van Lieshout zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 3.250,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Joep van Lieshout mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bureau 'K4121', 1991 beobachtet, die im April 2006 für EUR 10.200,00 versteigert wurde.
