Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2005 Christies in New York held the auction THE HOUSE SALE, which included the work Parsippany by Joe Jones. The price achieved of USD 1,440.00 (€ 1,221.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joe Jones achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cornfield in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 110,500.00 (€ 89,372.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2005 führte Christies in New York die Auktion THE HOUSE SALE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Parsippany von Joe Jones zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.440,00 (€ 1.221,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joe Jones erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cornfield im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 110.500,00 (€ 89.372,37).
